The Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument based out within the fringing reefs of the Hawaiian islands is hosting an absolutely amazing workshop opportunity for educators in June of 2009. Twelve participants will be chosen from nominations to experience Midway Atoll and Oahu as well as learn more about the National Monument in an effort to inspire community stewardship and grassroots level conservation. Educators and community leaders from both informal and formal fields will be accepted and must be nominated as well as provide letters of support.
PS: I want to be nominated to go!! Pick me!! Nominations are due January 2nd and you can get a taste for the workshop - I think - with a few videos.
